Dr. John Harris
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Medical Director
John B. Harris received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1978 from Vanderbilt University where he was a three-year letterman on the Varsity tennis team. After graduating from Southern Illinois University Medical School, he entered the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine where he completed residency programs in both General and Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Harris continued his quest for expertise by completing a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, Florida and a Microsurgical Fellowship at Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Practicing at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville from 1988 to 2001, Dr. Harris served as Head of Plastic Surgery and as an Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine.
Board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Harris has also been appointed as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
Internationally renown for his cosmetic and reconstructive surgical technique and expertise, Dr. Harris has instructed other physicians through live and televised surgical procedures in 20 countries throughout Europe, South America and the Far East. He has presented over 60 lectures and authored many clinical papers on a variety of plastic and cosmetic surgery issues.
Dr. Harris is the co-owner and Medical Director of Rejuvanence Medical Spa and The Ponte Vedra Med Spa.
Dr. Ankit Desai
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Co-Medical Director
Dr. Ankit Desai serves as both a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from the Bolles School. His roots and family have brought him and his expertise back to Jacksonville.
Dr. Desai began his undergraduate career at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore studying Biomedical Engineering. He was at Johns Hopkins University until he was accepted in the prominent and highly selective Junior Honors Medical Program, an accelerated Medical School Program at the University of Florida. He received his M.D. degree from University of Florida, where he served as Class President for all four years, as testament to his leadership and affability.
Dr. Desai was then accepted into a highly competitive plastic surgery residency directly out of medical school. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency in St. Louis at Saint Louis University. During his training, Dr. Desai scored in the 99th% percentile in the nation on the American Board of Plastic Surgery in-service training exam. He then completed specialized cosmetic surgery training at the University of Alabama @ Birmingham under the direction of internationally renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Luis Vasconez. While at the University of Alabama, he served as a Clinical Instructor providing quality and compassionate care to both his cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients.
Dr. Desai is a member of number of societies and professional organizations. He is Board Certified by American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Desai’s interests include cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, aesthetic and endoscopic facial and eyelid rejuvenation, minimally invasive surgery, and body contouring.
Dr. Desai is the co-owner and Medical Director of of Rejuvanence Medical Spa and the Desai Center of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
